Many of these men were "on loan" to the Luftwaffe, from the Gestapo.

The first set is for a Oberfeldpolizeidirektor(OberstLt), which was the highest rank possible for the GFP member in the Luftwaffe.

The second set is for a Feldpolizeikommissar(Hauptmann).

The single tab is for a Feldpolizeisekertar(Leutnant in a Medium Career Level).

    Hi Erich,

The waffenfarbe(Branch color) for the Luftwaffe Officials is ALMOST always dark green. This is reflected in the official's collar tabs and shoulder board underlay.

The actual specialty of the official is in the Nebenfarbe. This is the layer of color between the branch color and the russian braid(center layer).

The GFP fell under the Justice Official's specialty and utilized the wine red nebenfarbe while holding the dark green waffenfarbe. These men were separated from the Judicial Officials by the addition of the "GFP" cyphers to the shoulder boards.

I think that background checks and internal security within the Luftwaffe were the primary roles of the GFP. I definitely would not want to be on their bad side!:trouble::eek:
