Ah yessss, the Guns of Navarone. 1) great cast shot with Peck, Niven, Quinn, Darren, Baker and Gia Scalia. This shot is of them in the ruins. 2) Quinn, Scalia and Darren. this is where they expose her of being a spy working for the Germans. 3) Great scene with Quinn and Darren. 4) Great shot of Anthony Quayle in that hiospital scene with the General. 5) Notice the American halftreacks? I do and it caused a nose-pinching moment. I never noticed them used in the film before.

Thank you Ray, though The Cowboys isnt a war movie of any type-its still a nice shot of Duke with the lads he'll be in charge of on that Cattle drive. I couldnt help but have this still with these others ;-)) Pork Chip Hill still Nr 2. You will recognize Gregory Peck as the Lieutenant. To the right is Norman Fell, who was one of Pecks Radiomen. PCH was directed by one of my favorite directors who was a master at making war movies: Lewis Milestone. Next is Ben Johnson and Warren Oates in an ending scene of: The Wild Bunch. This scene is at the end of the movie with the survivors of: The Wild Bunch, having a final shootout with the Mexican Army. Ben Johnson (the gent to the left) and Warren Oates (the gent on the right and who is firing that machinegun) had seen better days ;-)) Frank Sinatra in yet, another shot from: Von Ryans Express. Part of The Professionals, in: The Professionals. This shot had Robert Ryan (Gent on the far left) Claudia Cardinale ( the women in bondage) Lee Marvin w/ Lewis gun, and the gent behind him is Woodrow (Woody) Strode. I have another and much better shot of Strode in: Spartacus. Wait till you see that shot as well as the Gunga Din shot-and the rest from this batch. After that, ill be forwarding some stills from the Bill O'Hara Collection to Ray for eventual posting. Im doing so-so as to keep this thread entertaining and with new stuff to see till I get more stills in. Im currently waiting on more Cross of Iron, Fixed Bayonets, Major Dundee, more Guns of Navarone, Hell Is For Heroes, Von Ryans and A Time To Love and A Time To Die, The Great Escape, and I think some more Pork Chop Hill stills. I have a line on several more stills from ATTLaATTD, Pork Chop Hill, Target Zero, and some others I shant give away at this time ;-)) If I had enough money available? i'd also have several from: Northwest Passage w/ Spencer Tracy (as Maj Robert Rogers) Walter Brennan and Robert Young. Im still awaiting the delivery of my still from: The Last Outpost w/ Ronald Wilson Reagan, Bruce Bennett, Noah Beery Jr and Hugh Beaumont. PS, for those who like pre and Colonial times movies, Wilfrid Lawson, Robert Barrat and Montague Love were also in Northwest Passage. Lawson and Barrat were perfect in those Colonial type movies.

Many thanks Ray. First up is Woody Strode and Kirk Douglas about to battle it out in the Gladiator ring for the wealthy patrons. In case you dont know who Woody Strode is, he's the gent w/ his back to the camera and is holding a Fishnet and Trident. Next is an image of the "man with a boys body" aka: matt damon-in a movie often talked about here and beloved (and I cant see why?) Saving Private Ryan. Next is a great shot of Charlton Heston as: Judah Ben Hur in: Ben Hur. Also on the floating debris from the Roman Galley of War that was sunk in battle is: Jack Hawkins. Hawkins is temporarily Hestons: "Chained Dog". Next is another great shot which shows Charlton Heston battling it out with Stephan Boyd in the famed Chariot Race in: Ben Hur. This is another of my alltime most favorite shots. Now to only find this shot in color????????????? Last, but not least, a great shot of Richard Widmark as Col. Jim Bowie (thats pronounced: Booey and NOT Bow-ee) in the great John Wayne work of art called: The Alamo. Widmark and his seven-barrelled gun. I'd love to find a shot or two of him with his "BOOEY" knife.

Hi Ray, many thanks for posting these. From L-R and from: The Alamo: Richard Widmark, Duke, Lawrence Harvey and the man w/ the beard-John Dierkes. This is a Production photo. Just noticed that Denver Pyle (Bee-Keeper) the man with the top hat and in buckskins and to Widmarks left, is also in this photo. Davy Crockett (Duke) and Jim Bowie (Widmark) in the scenes where Bowie is suggesting that they take the tactic of: Cut. Slash and Run-when it came to fighting Gen. Antonio Lopez de Santa Annas (San Tannas) Army. Nice Action shot and I THINK this is where Gwinn "Big Boy" Williams, gets wounded???? Again, from: The Alamo. And who could forget this great shot of "The King of Cool" Steve McQueen as Captain Virgil (Just Hilts) Hilts, in: The Great Escape. Last for now but not least is: Karl-Otto Alberty arresting Lord Richard Attenborough. "You speak German very goood. I also heard your French---YOUR ARMS----UP!!!".

Hi Ray, thank you ;-)) First up is the first Peck PCH pic I got. Nice shot aint it? Pic two is a great closeup of Trevor Howard (Major Fincham) and Frankie (Von Ryan) in ze background. Three, is when the Ami PWs decide to cleebrate the anniversary of our War of Independance from the King and England-(aka) the Revolutionary War. This is another shot that will eventually be on a t-shirt. Pic Four, is my Gunga Din still and is the oldest still in my collection thus far. This photo is a promotional still which differs from Studio Release Stills and such. This means the shot you see does not appear in the movie. You see Douglas Fairbanks Jr with pistol in hand and standing in front and to the side of the Gatling Gun. Victor McLaglen is the gent with a sword in hand and is also off to the side of the GG. Cary Grant is mostly unseen but is the Gunner behind the GG. The last item is the news ticker which are still attached to both of the Steve McQueen Press Release photos I have. The other being a great shot of him in: Hell Is For Heroes-where he is leaping over a parapet charging towards the Germans who raidind their position. That shot is one that already made its way on a t-shirt.

Frank McHugh is the gent in front of the mule and slightly stuped over. 4) Another from: the fighting 69th. alan hale (the takll Sergeant pointing his finger) is doing so at Frank Mchugh. Harry guardino is the Sergeant, next to him is Bobby Darin and then of course Bob Newhart. 3) Pic 1 f4rom: The Bridge At Remagen. Hans-Christian Blech is the gent with the wounded hand. Next to him is Robt Vaughn. I dont know tha name of the guy who is the Pioneering Hptm. 4) Bridge AT Remagen Nr 2. Vaughn is in deep doo doo and is about to be arrested. 5) Fixed bayonets. This is at the beginning of the movie and Richard Basehart and Gene Evans are not in the pic.
