I was reading on the RCAF site regarding World War II and the Moderna Era, when I came across this article, A Flight Into Memory and while checking to see if it was already here, I searched the author's name and discovered a member here with the same name. Like almost anyone who stands beneath it and pauses to look up and contemplate its size and structure, I could tell that the Lancaster bomber he was looking at moved him. Something in his eyes however, set him apart from the hundreds of visitors the Canadian Warplane Heritage welcomes monthly into its museum hangar and onto its flightline. Hello, here are two pics from the summer of 2009 taken in Winnipeg, Canada. This is one example of the only two flyable Lancaster bombers in the world.
