Hello everyone, My name is Tammy and I am new to the forum. I'm 37 yrs old and I would have to say that I have been interested in most military history since I was about 14 yrs old. I am on a quest right now to find out what some items are from WWII. A vast majority of them are German based. A friends grandfather brought these items back from when he served in WWII. We have very little information as to where he was stationed and when he returned to the U.S. he didn't discuss his experience. Needless to say, this has quickly become a new hobby for me. I have always done alot of reading on WWII, The Holocaust, Vietnam war, and history in general. I also enjoy drawing, working on jeeps with my husband ( I currently own a 1966 Kaiser Jeep), and time spent with my family. I guess that is about it for now. I have taken pictures of all the items I have if anyone is interested in looking at them. I would also appreciate any information on how to store these items to avoid damage. Nice to meet you, Tammy
I just realized I failed to include the link to the photo's that I have taken. They can be found at this site: Military pictures by turaffe - Photobucket
Welcome, Turafffe. It's always nice to see an increase in the female contingent on the Forum!! I hope you will enjoy it here, as you will find an incredible amount of information as you read through the various threads going back over the history of the Forum. You may want to post the photos of your militaria in that portion of the Forum, so that more members view it and possibly give you answers to assist you.
