    Total war.Japan made no secret of their disdain for those who surrender. It is no surprise that they received the same in kind.

    It must have been unfortunate for the Allied POW's who were on the ships that were sunk by their own side.

    Referred as casualties of War. Look at all the Friendly Fire incidents Just in Normandy.
