    Hi 36th, nice pics. Is ther eany writing on their backsides? Im particularly interested in the middle and right most pics.

    Ive picked up around 40 or so more this year as well as about 80 movie stills, actors prints, studio release pics-media release pics lobby cards and such.

    nice pictures, they were all three taken at a different setting though. The Me-109 white 10 seems to be on European plain field, the second one is a Wehrmacht soldier and the Luftwagge soldier is Südfront (Greece, Sicily or North Africa)

    Carl, there is no writing on the back of any of these photos. Locations are lost to time.... Shame, I would have loved to know where that airfield was.

    1st pic in the MTO note the Luftwaffe Flak-mans lower left sleeve insig, wings and a 8.8cm flak piece. AA personell

    3rd pic of a Gebirgsjäger with ID: note his heavy Mtn climbing boots not too disimilar of the ones we wear today in the back-country

    pavement, sours....... this is not desert : the Luftwaffe guy was certainly in a large town when this picture was taken. Athens , Palermo, Tunis ? Who knows.

    one re: why I mentioned the MTO and not inclusion of Afrika in total. Greece is a possibility of course

    Good eye E, I couldnt see well enough to see the flak insgnia.
