Hello all, as a lifelong student of History and a 35year student of WWII, I finally found a place I can call home. A member of Wehrmacht Awards.com told me about this Forum and I made a beeline for it. As I said above, I've been a student of WWII since 1975. I had no relatives serve overseas but one of my grandfathers helped design the wings for the P-47 Thunderbolt. I've earned my Masters in History and am slowly working on my PhD. My specific areas of concentration are the ETO, Nazi Germany, the Nazi Security Services and Holocaust Studies primarily Auschwitz. I am a collector and voracious reader or WWII books and an avid War Movie fan. I feel fortunate I found this forum and hope I can contribute to, from what I have only briefly seen, is a pretty knowledgeable group. I am very passoniat about WWII and sometimes very opinionated, especially when it comes to film, but I will always respect the opinions of others first and foremost. I look forward to my time here.
