I am a big fan of the P-38 Lightning. I've done some pretty poor models in my youth, but I would love to do a realistic model of the P-38. Does anyone have any recommendations on where I can pick up a P-38 model?

    Thanks for the help!

There's plenty of good choices, depending on the scale you want. Even the old Monogram 1/48 kit from the '60's still holds it's own.

Overall best is probably the Minicraft 1/48 scale P-38 series, or Trumpeter's 1/32 P-38L.

You can order them through any number of online outlets like Squadron Shop or eHobbies.

in 1/48 scale I think the Hasegawa P-38L is the best (they also make an F/G/H )
the Academy kit is probably #2
