    Here is another photo I have. Always liked this one. Notice the Soldat with the rifle on his back on the left.

    what a mess of that Soviet bomber. German Offizier on the right needs to leave the Apfel Kuchen alone

    36th any foto writing on the back like a date ? appears to be earlier in the war

    the Soviet crate is : Tupolev SB medium bomber -- twin mgs in the nose side by side, hard to see the config.

    no prob well at least you know the bomber type now, it was used thru 1943 and then phased out

    Great shot. Im not too keen on russian aircraft but, ( the rest is edited because of reading Erichs post-which answered my now unseen question ;-)))))))))))))

    if you guys do a search on Soviet medium bombers and can get a top view of the rear fuselage it is an interesting point how wide the tail surfaces are providing that flattening effect if you will for the low level bombing the Soviets were famous for due to their stability in flight
