I'm lucky enough to live in an area with a number of WW2 airfields (both fighter and bomber).

Most of these have now been closed for years and are slowly disappearing.

I've numerous books on the history of the airfields, but can find no real good sources of maps of the airfields as they were during the war (i.e. tech site buildings etc).

Does anyone know of a source of maps/plans of these?

    Thanks in advance.

    Thanks for that Sniper46.

I had found that, but it doesn't realy give the whole picture of the airfields, just the towers.

    Any other links?

Try looking on Amazon or Abe Books for "Military Airfields" ISBN 0 907700 12 8 by Stevbe Willis and Barry Holliss. It has "full details and maps of 653 wartime sites of the rAF, Allied, RN and US Army Air Forces" Does it for me!
