As a history buff very interested in WWII, I'm glad I found this place. Reading through a few posts, I couldn't help but notice how much knowledge and info can be gleaned here. There are a lot of experts around here and I look forward to expanding my knowledge...I'm definitely no expert. A little about me: Former U.S. Marine (1980s), National Strategy Manager for my employer, lead guitarist of a loud rock band in Louisville, KY. and an avid watcher of the History and Military channels. My wife thinks I'm a major nerd...I told her it's "Col. Nerd" to her. Not sure how much I'll be able to add to conversations, but you can bet I'll be reading every day. Semper Fi!
Welcome. Well, "Skunk" Baxter, former guitarist with Steely Dan and The Doobie Brothers is now a Defense Analyst, so one never knows. So crank up the Marshall stack, and tune into WWII forum, and rock on! Greg C
Thanks for the welcome. I try to be as well rounded as possible. I do have a Marshall stack, Les Paul and a Strat. btw...Skunk Baxter is definitely a bad ass.
I Hope you dont mind me calling you Colonel ? After all, once a Marine, always a Marine Welcome Aboard sir! Regards, TBA
Well, I guess here, a Les Paul and a Strat could be compared to an MG-42 and an M-1 Garrand, both awesome weapons, or should I say axes. I'm more of a low regester guy, 1971 Fender Precision Bass...been with me longer than two wives Rock on Col. Greg C.
