    Now this is funny

"Adolf Hitler would be turning in his grave – if he had one. He is about to be played by an Indian actor in a Bollywood movie about his love life. The film, called ‘Dear Friend Hitler’, will concentrate on the Fuhrer’s relationships in the last days of his life, particularly that with his mistress Eva Braun."

I'm disappointed there won't be any musical numbers. A Bollywood version of "Springtime for Hitler" would fit in quite nicely.

Would this be considered 'revisionist history'?

Having an Indian actor play Hitler is like having Samuel L. Jackson play Mussolini.

I wonder if he'll have a voice sounding like Apu, the convenience store owner on "The Simpsons"?

I read it is concentrating on the human side of Hitler.... not much to film there, I´d say... ;)

Yes considering that he had the conspirators of the 20 Jul 44 plot hung on piano wires and had it filmed so he could enjoy the proceedings over dinner. Strange subject matter for dinner theater to say the least. He was full of anti-social behavior that's for sure, but this example always stuck in my mind.

Well, they did have a partially white British man playing Gandhi in the 80s so I guess it was only a matter of time. :D

One question though, why? If it was on Bose or someone of the sort it would make sense. Infact, I think Bollywood did to a movie on Bose where Udo Schenk played Hitler.

Will be interesting to see how it changes perceptions of Hitler in the region though.
