well something just sailed in from northern German waters. have posted signed RK pics from this man in the past but this is quite unique being colored. RK mit EL end of 42 beginning of 1943, signed on the back.

Werner Töniges was the first recipient of the extremely rare S-Boot Abzeichen mit Brillants. First issued the 1st S-Boot pattern badge on 28th of January 1941 and then received the 2nd pattern S-Boot badge with Diamonds personally from Großadmiral Raeder on 16 December 1942 and this is what is shown on his dress tunic. The bade has 9 Diamonds incorporated into the swastika which is over-sized............. ah more fun things for the KM Schnellboot collection ...........

Hi Skipper, E, Andy, Kai and all.

Thanks Skipper, and im going to attempt to access my ebay account soon as I leave here. One pic shows German Halftracks w/mounted Rocket Launchers (Nebelwerfer Tubes) and I forget what the other pics contain but are very nice ones nice enough to get me to possibly spend a lot of money I cant afford to spend this month.

    Nice shot of Toniges, E.

    Cool Ordnance Spotter.

Looking forward to seeing yer stuff Andy.

Well, I just checked and I did win one German press photo. This one was one of the best of what I was bidding on and certainly the rarest of the five pics. This one is aPK pres photo of a Quad MG-Flak Halftrack. It appears sight unseen, that this [pic was taken on the Eastern Front. SHows a soldier in a greatcoat standing on the "deck" by the guns So Skipper when yopu have time?? ;-))

a rather modest crop today, but still very nice:

A Queen Mary relic, with enamal brooch with George VI crown. The Queen Mary was a famous liner that transported troops from the USA to the UK during the war.

Picked up a bayonet with scabbard and 'frog' at a "garage sale" today. If anyone can help identify it I'd be very appreciative. The numbers do not match but it is in good shape. I've found some info on the net but nothing conclusive. The rubber grip on the handle is still pliable and I haven't seen any with the handle completely covered as this one is? It appears to be a K98 made in 1942 (42aSW) and the scabbard has 1938 on one side.

It is a Mauser bayo and in very good condition and worth in this fine condition about 100-$ with the frog. You'll have to identify the maker of the blad ethough, it could have been made abroad (or not) under licence, but the scabbard is German for sure

THANKS ! I paid $10.00 US! I found one reference to the 42asw marking on the blade that said it was made by Soligen. The 'button' works and is free moving. Very little rust on the end of the handle that cleaned up with a small dab of WD-40. I'll see if I can find more on the maker.

Solingen was the biggest blade maker in Germany. If you paid 10 bucks you certainly have a winner here.
