Hi Ken, thats a beaut of a rifle. The one I got was 1953 made and I dont think was ever issued. The rifle looked like it was made the day before I bought it. Now im beginning to wish I never parted with it ;-))

Kai, those are some great fotos and VERY rare-at least here-to see some like these. I saw one WWII Finnish foto being sold for $150-and this was last year on Ricks site. That pic was snagged in a heartbeat.

    Keep them coming lads!

I have a whole batch coming soon, mostly German , but also some Tommy , Belgian and French stuff.
I am still waiting for the package but this should be really promising as it includes a early war cotton Flieger haube, some medals , two 1944 paintings of German soldiers who were based in Burgundy , a German Medic 1 liter flasche, a Schnellboot pic on the Donau and much more

Yeah, Carl, happy to have those. I can say it was a battle until the last moment to get those... ;)

I´ll put some of the "lost ones" to the eastern front section in a couple of days time..

Three new pictures. And if Ray or Skipper has the time to post them? you will see a few nice and interesting images. One image involves an MG-34, another involves an MP-40 and the other involves Napoleon.

I will Carl, probably tomorrow though, I'm about to go to our local flea market and find new goodies. i will also post those new objects I mentionned earlier. Two original 60 x 40cm 1944 paintings of Wehrmacht soldiers , a couple of porcelaine plates and much more. Unfortunately I'm doing many hours at work , so you may have noticed I have not been as availble as usual to share my finds . Don't worry however they keep piling up, it's just that it takes more time to clean and post the goodies.

Hey Vegar, the medal you posted is 'The Defence Medal' ...not an 'Indian' defence medal - ..... "Awarded to service personnel and many civilian organisations for three years service in non operational areas subjected to air attack or closely threatened. Also awarded for one years overseas service - If the overseas service area was subject to enemy attacks or closely threatened the qualifying period was reduced to six months. Many WW2 home defence and related organisations were eligible such as the Home Guard, Auxiliary Fire Service, Civil Defence, etc".

The confusion comes because of the Latin motto which includes the word "India" . It means George VI was King of the United Kingdom and "Emperor of India".

As to yesterday , yes I have a new treasure (literaly) .It is a a big Amercian chest, a huge signal Corps equipment case with 2 drawers. It hasn't been opened for decades and is sealed , so anything could be in there. I don't expect any treasure but you never know. Pictures will follow.

Just got a nice US Navy uniform, for 20 $. It could use a wash though, but since it is so cheap it is worth it.
