Thanx Guys! I did want one for ages and now I got myself a nice one. The parts of the MP40 are the same number so it has not been connected of different gun pieces which is great.

 

That's even better, you could start a nice Felgendarme mannequin with it

SCR-593 Artillery radio receiver. The unit had four pre-set channels A,B,C & D. Each gun in the battery had one of these to receive orders and firing missions from either the battery commander, who was equipped with a SCR-543 radio, or a forward observer. The unit was made up of the BC-728-B receiver, the AN-75-A antenna, an FT-338 support, a CD-628 cable an a BB-54 battery.



The four pushbuttons to choose inbetween the four pre-set channels. The turning knob on the left is the on/off and volume control.

Pack, M-1943. This 1944 dated pack, made by Boyt is in a rather poor condition. The M-1943 was a derivate of the Jungle Pack and it was not used very much in the ETO. I got this one from a friend who found it in his parents farm in Stockem, just across the border in Germany. So the odds are pretty good that it belonged to a soldier of the 80th ID who fought there in February 1945. There is a laundry number but I haven´t done any research on it yet.

 

I particulary like that receiver, it's the first time I see one like this.
