is this a (ww2) navy captain? and probably no chance but has anyone seen him before???? I got this picture with a hat I got. thank you
4 Stripes around the sleeve is a Captain and if im not mistaken, the star means he is either a line officer or either on an Admirals Staff? Im so unused to American stuff that I have forgotten about what most of it is.
Thanks Carl I am searching google to try and find who it is, the hat I did learn about Gerald F Hart:Letter Collection--MTB Squadron 22 - U.S. Militaria Forum
Carl, I think I found who it is not completely sure though Charles Butler Mcveigh III :http://the.honoluluadvertiser.com/dailypix/2006/Jun/20/FPI606200353V1_b.jpg
Thank you formerjughead and Carl, the picture you said is the same one is just the photo I used to compare I kinda borrowed it the one attached is the one I got, there is no writing on the back and it does not glow under u.v light not that it makes it 100% just tested it to see
Hi Jason, I just noticed two things. 1) McVeigh doesnt have a cleft on his chin-like the other Kapitan does. Also, I noticed their ribbon bars are drastically different so I cant see the other guy being McVeigh. Actually, he reminds me more of Dwayne Hickman (Dobie Gillis) of Dobie Gillis, fame ;-))
Heh heh, Inspector Clouseau and Sherlock Holmes both, are on the case ;-)) OR shall I say that Abbott and Costello and Laurel and Hardy all-are on the case ;-))
