I saw "Everyman's War" a couple of weeks ago on Netflix. I believe it was written/directed/produced by two brothers who based it on their father's war experiences around the time of the Battle of the Bulge. The acting isn't Shakespeare but I enjoyed the movie, and they did a pretty good job of it considering they did not have a mega big budget. I thought it was a good movie.

Hi Ray, Kapo is a movie made in the 1950s soemtiem and I THINK is a Czech made movie. Anyway, I didnt get to see it all but what I did will blow your socks off. It was THAT good. Its taking place in an all Female Concentration Camp in WWII.

I want to get Katyn too, but more DvDs are on hold till I can get my Cat finished with the Vets office and the money I have to spend there.

Katyn is a decent film but nothing too memorable. If you liked Max Manus (and it is a very good film) then you will also like the Danish film Flame & Citroen about members of the Danish Underground which is also very good.
Two other very good films that seem to of slipped under the radar and which I heartily recommend is Napola & 39th Battalion (which is for sale on Amazon for less than a £1). The former is a film about 2 friends who attend a school for those children considered 'the future of the Reich' and how it affects them while the latter film is about an Aussie squad of Auxiliary soldiers fighting on the Kokoda Track.
