Saw a thread on whether the European or Pacific Fighting was worse and it gave me the idea for this.

The poll above is listed in the order I would rate them. No disrespect to anyone, all war is terrible no matter wherever it is fought.

If you don't vote for the "worst" theatre in your view, vote for a theatre you think deserves more attention for study and in the media.

They all deserve equal attention in regards to Study and in the Media. Suggesting otherwise is very disrespectful to the men and women who sacrificed their lives.

Making polls on 'the worse theatres/battles/attrocities' is always going to be a touchy subject as it marginalizes them. Its counterintuitive to the learning and knowledge sharing on this forum.

As I stated in another, similar thread, my belief is the worst theater was the one you were in. My father fought in Italy, and I grew up believing he had it easy because everything I read or saw was either about the Pacific and the Marines or D-Day. Popular media seemed to marginalize what my father did in North Africa and Italy. Polls like this are nearly meaningless, especially on a site that prides itself on investigation and learning.
