Did you guys see that the Cardinal who compared landing at Heathrow Airport like going to a third world country has been replaced? Too funny.

So the head of a sect is visiting this country. I feel a sense of so what growing. If the head of the Roman Catholic chuch wants to visit so be it but don't expect the majority of people to be overjoyed about it. As for comparing the growing secular/athiest views in this country to the Nazis' really someone with his background really should know better than to bandy the N word around, honestly that's the level of comment you expect from the D.O.E.

If Jesus existed as the RC church portrays him I wonder what he would make of the Pope and the Vatican?

They had a good question on a morning show today. When The Queen and the Pope meet this week, who bows first?

He came out here a few years back, seemed like a good thing to me. Stimulated the economy and those who wanted to see him could. Win, win situation and me I'm not religious.

Promoting mythology is a money-maker in the short term, but the downside is you get some folks who think it's the real deal.

So as a forum trustee, do you plan on add more fuel to this bonfire? We have a diverse group here and with the attacks on respective countries, cultures and beliefs, I am surprised at how well we get along. I do not see any of the believers here attempting to convert any of y'all. Yet those of you here so far just have to be disrespectful and attack those who believe. Worse yet, from someone in a leadership position. Religous jokes and attacks on religous public figures is one thing but going out in general attack on just believing is another and I take offense to that. I put up with alot considering the diversity of the group. I pity Skipper with all the anti-french comments generously thrown about. Politics is a free for all that we all pretty much agree on. I do not consider it a downside for those of us who believe. I respect your choice in not believing. I'm making it known to respect my choice in believing. Attack the Pope all you want..........but not my choice.

First, I wasn't speaking as a forum trustee. And if that status interferes with me speaking my mind I'll gladly give it up.

As for conversion, I couldn't care less about converting anyone. But don't think I will EVER refrain from criticizing religion.

That title follows you everywhere and I suspect that your title and your crusade won't last for much longer.
