Heh heh. Also, I used to have an M-35 DD Luftwaffe Lid that was named to an NCO. The lid was complete and was painted in a brownich camo scheme much like what they wore in certain areas on the Eastern Front. Ive been kicking myself ever since I decided to part withn it and I was doing a deal with a dealer when it got pinched from the mail. I think it was by a Postal worker who worked at the PO next door to my Apt complex, some of that guys coworkers agreed wiht me. Nothing came of it because there was no proof.

Im always in the market for one-just never have the money neccessary fro getting one.

Of course at the time Germany needed cooking pots alot more than it needed the old stahl helm!

All too true. I saw a site about that very subject a number of years ago. Darn shame because it showed F.J. lids being destroyed-and it was froma mountain of them that was behind a person sifting through them.
