Pictures my uncle took - Texas, 1943

    These are some photos my uncle had taken at an airbase in Texas. It was a training field and also where units checked out their aircraft before going overseas. At this time he was a mechanic working mainly on P47s. From the looks of the pics I would say mid 1943???

    That is my uncle with a bicycle in the first photo.

    He loved the Thunderbolts and was very impressed with the size of the B17.
