Just a friendly reminder-today is election day and just wanted to make sure anyone and everyone eligable to vote-to go vote. Im leaving here in less than 20 to go do it.

Anyway, im anxious to see who the "Ins" are and who the "Outs" will be.

This thread most likely belongs in The Stump, but since it isn't overtly "political" yet I suppose this is appropriate. Since I have been using the "absentee" ballot ever since I lost the desire to "stand" for lengths of time, I always have mine in the box well before election day itself. Here in MT. we even have a set-up where you can track your ballot to make sure it gets accepted and recorded on the internet.

Anyway, here is another cute 'toon which expresses my own position very well, and is NON-partisan.

As long as no political discussion is engaged we can leave it here, if things go astray we"ll move it

My wife and I just voted. I always take great pleasure in the simple act of casting my ballot, although I have a distinct feeling that I'm going to get whitewashed this time around.

I've had that feeling in the past as well Lou. But as you said, it's a pleasure to vote no matter what the outcome. I just got back with my wife as well. She gets two hours off to go vote working for the state.

As for heading to the stump, I think we are ok until JR shows up! :D

Polling places were crowded here in Indiana. I saw a lot more young people exercising their right than I did in 2008. I have yet to miss an opportunity to vote it's the one time I feel the govt. can finally hear me rather than tell me. That is until after the election where they go back to telling me.

I think that I'll put a sign on my front lawn for our next election what says " Don't vote, it only encourages them".

Just kidding, look at what happened 2 years ago when you didn't vote.:D

Nope....those are the new rules. You're either part of the solution or part of the problem; no fence sitting and monday morning quarterbacking. If you didn't vote you can't post in the stump.

Well Carl is a Texas boy, not a Californian. So he doesn't really care that Meg Whitman blew a million and a half bucks of her own money to come in second.
