Hello all I’m working for a television company called Impossible Pictures, earlier this year we made a series for Channel 4 called Blitz Street. We are now making a 6-part series for Channel 4 and the History Television Channel in Canada about D-Day and the campaigns that followed and eventually led to the defeat of the Nazis. In order to bring the history to life we are very keen to hear first hand from WW2 veterans who were involved in this part of the war about their experiences. In the series we’ll be using archive and also action sequences in order to recreate the battlefields but the most vital element is interviewing those people who were directly involved. Please send me a message if you are able to help or email me at kim.lask@impossiblepictures.co.uk Best wishes Kim
Hello Kim, welcome to WW2F, I wish you and your work collogues the best of luck, may I suggest (if you hav'nt already done so) to take a look at our sister site WW2Talk .....there are some active British and Commonwealth veterans on that site. Andy
You should find alot of insperation and people on this site to help. Are you going to mention this site and others in the credits?
That would be so cool Kim. My Dad is 90 years young and served with the South Alberta Regiment "A" Squadron under Major David Currie. I will ask him if he is interested but I don't think he will as he don't like talking about it very much If he is I'll shoot you an email. Cheers! Darcy
