i have never been in germany.
but i would like to visit your country in future.

i can say that clearly we learn almost all world history.
our history education programm in university is so so large.
coz old turkish civilizations and states contacted, fighted almost against all civilizations :)
so history teacher department students must learn all turkish history (before accepting islam antique turkish history, after accepting islam, rebuplic of turkey)
and all european history, from antique period till end of the ww2, all american history, arab history, christian history, middle asia history,ww1,ww2

so i can say that clearly they teached us about all world history.
maybe except south america history :)

Welcome to the forum, turkishwolf. I am a retired high school history teacher. It will be nice to have another perspective in the forum. Don't worry about your English. It's certainly better than my Turkish (which is zero).

I don´t think that there is anybody out there who can truely say that he knows all about WW2. I know an average amount of the WW2. Yes i heard something about these troops and i find it very interesting that they joined the SS or the Wehrmacht for the reason that the OKW made plans to conquere the Turkey.

Hey Turkish, I certainly know about some Asian Volunteers in the Axis troops

Among these were troops from ASERBAIDSCHAN , FREIES ARABIEN (free Arabs) , FREISES INDIEN (AZAH Hind from India) and many others.

its true but they had no plan for conquere to turkey.
they joined to wehrmacht and ss coz they tired of soviet russia constraint.

    Yes its true.
I will write an article about that topic coz its so interesting.
These troops were so crowded. I can say that just in SS 40.000 middle asia Turkish fighted against to Soviet Russia.
Some of them deserved iron cross.
Its a really so long story and some sad. So i will write about it later.

Do You have a chance to get the War diaries of the OKW of the Wehrmacht? There is a page where they wrote that they made plans to do this.

Howdy Turkishwolf it is good to have you visit and join.

Don't give it another thought. Your English is better than my Turk.

We have several members here who do not speak English as their primary language. If you have problems understanding, just ask and we'll help you and if we have problems understanding you, we'll ask you to try another word or phrase. We figure that you want to improve your understanding of the English language, so we may correct you from time to time if you want us to. We won't be doing this because we are mad at you or trying to be critical, but instead we're trying to help you.

Enjoy the forum, it is good to meet you.
