Went to see The Green Hornet today so here is a heads up. If you like me had a fondness for the original show and hope to rekindle the feeling in the new film, you are likely to be dissapointed. In effect it is a comedy-action buddy flick. Normally you would say action-comedy but I meant it they way I wrote it. They want you laughing untill they blow something up, and if you laugh while they blow something up, so much the better. It is well fashioned in the way one of those pricey meals that look elegant on the plate, but force you to stop off for a burger and fries afterwards if you don't want to go to bed hungry. Some of the jokes do work, but they hit you over the head with them. Seth Rogan is a good comedian, but does not hold up as leading man. John Chou is better as Kato. Cameron Diaz is gourgeous as always, but wasted in the role. Christoff Walz plays the head villan, and he pretty good, but it is a variation of his character of SS officer in Inglorious Bastards. My local theater offered it only in 3-D and while it doesn't have a faded look, the 3-D really doesn't offer much to get excited about. If you can see it in 2-D it would be just as good I think. Not a bad film and it could divert you for a couple of hours if you can turn your brain off, but it will not leave a lasting impression either.
Grrrrr, cant those stupid hollywoodland JERKS, EVER get it right? PS, don't tell Bruce Lee that you think the other fella was better.

I hadn't planned on going to see the latest "remake" of an old show anyway, but this sealed the deal. I might not even watch it if it comes on free broadcast TV.
Sorry about that, I MUST be losing more than just my eyesight these days. I can't spell either  PS never heard of this Seth Rogan character?
Not a problem Carl, I can see how I could leave that impression from my post. Seth Rogan has popped up in the last few years, usually in raunchy comedies that are currently popular these days. Ray thanks for the link as I hae never seen it before.
Thanks for the run down. That figures that he would be popular, sounds more like a Chris Rock wannabe-to me. All Chris is is a later and not near as good of a version as Richard Pryor was.
