Hello, I'm a picture album and picture collector from Germany. I'm 24 years old and i started collecting private german WW2 photo-albums from the age of 14 on. I know have a colection of 111 picture albums and over 4080 pictures which i recently got digitalized and now sell for a cheap price on CD. My grandfather and father gave me that idea. My Grandfather served from 1940-1942 at the Flak as Coordinator, in 1943 he was stationed in Penemünde as Mechanic and from 1944-1945 he was with the 2. Panzer-Division in the Battle of Ardennes and their route afterwards until he got in an US POW Camp. He's still alive today with a proud age of 92 and healthy. So if you have any specific questions, i'll be happy to ask him. My other Grandfather was too young and therefor just in the HJ. My Grand-Uncle was in the SS Division "Das Reich" from 1941-1945, he got captured early when he got lost in Russia during 1944 and tried to walk towards Germany alone, getting food from russian civilians and a place to sleep until he got captured by the US when he reached Germany, he didn't tell too much details about it. Before that he was a pilot which i sadly didn't have more details about. He died last year with the age of 87. I'll probably be mostly active in the picture forums but of course also in the others when i can help with my knowledge.
Welcome to the forums! Be interested to read about your relative's experiences, especially in the PoW camp.
Good to hear from you. Feel free to post any photos or memories from you Grandfathers. We would be very interested.

Welcome to this fine forum and enjoy your stay among us. Feel free to tell us more about your realtives who served during WW2. Hessen is a great Place. I enjoyed visting Kassel a lot and loved the Frans Hals paintings there.

If you wanted to post any pictures (with a citation) I would be more than happy to add to my website's online photo gallery (giving you and your relatives full credit). In addition, and as for the collection you are selling on ebay; do those pictures include citations and descriptors for each (and do they include pictures from the Ardennes campaign as well as Eastern Front)? If so, what percentage of the collection? Thanks in advance for answering my questions and welcome to the forum?
