What the heck is an Attack Page? I cant get into any of the topics in the WWII General section. Can anyone here please explain what that is all about?
It's happened me twice in 2 days now, I just click the BACK button then try again and then I can get in
Aircraft of World War II - Warbird Forums has also been having the same problem. Most likely an ad has triggered the alert. tom
If you guys get this again, Otto has asked previously for the following information to aid him in combating these types of problems
I hope this is of some help Explorer; I think may be 7something as some sites U-tube say it's out of date, but I only built this computer 4 weeks ago! I use AVG Threat name; Exploit java script obfuscation ( type 1872 ) Message: AVG surfe shield has detected active threats on this page and has blocked access, That was the message I have shut down my computer twice as to try and get this mesage back and it's worked
Just happen. I use firefox and Windows XP - here is what I got; What happened when Google visited this site? Of the 42 pages we tested on the site over the past 90 days, 20 page(s) resulted in malicious software being downloaded and installed without user consent. The last time Google visited this site was on 2011-02-09, and the last time suspicious content was found on this site was on 2011-02-09.Malicious software includes 3 scripting exploit(s). Successful infection resulted in an average of 1 new process(es) on the target machine. Malicious software is hosted on 2 domain(s), including babduan.co.cc/, 74.119.233.0/. This site was hosted on 1 network(s) including AS3595 (GNAXNET). Has this site acted as an intermediary resulting in further distribution of malware? Over the past 90 days, WWII General did not appear to function as an intermediary for the infection of any sites. Has this site hosted malware? No, this site has not hosted malicious software over the past 90 days.
Here's a link to the microsoft site where you can download IE 8 Install Internet Explorer 8 or you could step up to firefox, chrome, or opera.
I only get it on Chrome, but Firefox lets me in as does IE8. But I dislike IE and don't use it much anymore. I'm mostly on Chrome for a browser these days. My Norton doesn't alert, but the Chrome page itself warns of malware each time. Or at least it has all day long.
Thanks guys and ill try it again soon as I make it up that far and will see if I can get in or not? I noticed a few people whom I get emails from regualarly, well, something happened to their accounts and some GDed basshole seems to be sending out emails in masse, using their accounts. Frigging hacks ALL DESERVE TO DIE HORRIBLE AND SLOW PAINFUL -- well, ill let you fill in the rest.
OK, I Still cant access WWII General and you can now add Info Requests to the list. I tried as to what was mentioned above but nothing works. Heres the gist of what the warning said: Reported attack page. This web page at www.ww2f.com forum has been reported as an attack page and has been blocked based on your security preferences. Same crap now on Information Requests.
That's because of the You tube crap people are embedding. If you have your browser set to block pop ups or third party cookies it will cause that. Go through and clean your cookies from the internet prefrences control panel and set your preferences to medium and you should be okay. Even better would be to have people quit embedding videos!!!!
Thanks Brad, ill see if I can do that and will try as suggested. Im not sure how to find thhat stuff but will go try to now and see what happens? Take care--Carl. I agree, I wish those people would quit embedding stuff. Those types need to have every bone in their fingers ground to powder.
If you look in the top left hand corner there is a drop down menu labled "Tools" in the bottom of the window is the "Internet Options" click on that and it opens the control panel you're looking for. I was thinking more like wood screws through their knuckles; but, I am good with whatever.
I just got one on the another page, from Google itself. Here is the second page of "more information"; What is the current listing status for Military Training, Doctrine, and Planning Site is listed as suspicious - visiting this web site may harm your computer. Part of this site was listed for suspicious activity 1 time(s) over the past 90 days. What happened when Google visited this site? Of the 1 pages we tested on the site over the past 90 days, 1 page(s) resulted in malicious software being downloaded and installed without user consent. The last time Google visited this site was on 2011-02-09, and the last time suspicious content was found on this site was on 2011-02-09. Malicious software includes 1 scripting exploit(s). Over the past 90 days, Military Training, Doctrine, and Planning did not appear to function as an intermediary for the infection of any sites. Has this site hosted malware? No, this site has not hosted malicious software over the past 90 days. How did this happen? In some cases, third parties can add malicious code to legitimate sites, which would cause us to show the warning message.
Thganks Brad, ill try that in a few. I did manage to change my security level but when I got back here? nothing changed. Screws through knuckles work for me too, or impaling.
I kinda wondered if it was some jerk trying to cause headaches here by "reporting" fake stuff. Whoever it is causing troubles deserves to be burned at the stake.,
