Hello all, My name is Gene I'm 38 years old and was interested in finding out as much infomation as possible for 5 of my family members who served in WWII. 3 of them in the army, 1 In the air force, 1 in the navy. I recently lost my grandfather and it re-sparked my interest in WWII as I won't be hearing his voice and his stories no more. Luigi Antonio Solinas Obituary: View Luigi Solinas's Obituary by StamfordAdvocate I pretty much knew my grandfathers specifics during the war but there's always more to learn, His Brother (my uncle Lorenzo) never really told war stories and very interested in finding more information on his battle stories. I'm really looking forward to this history lesson. I'll lurk around and get accustomed to the site to figure everything out. Thanks in advance, seems like I'm in the right place.
Nice to meet you Gene and welcome aboard. Feel free to ask questions and make yourself at home. Sorry to hear about your loss. It's sad to think about that great generation slowly slipping away.
