Enough is enough. I'm selling the house, the car and my militaria collection and I will soon apply to join the Foreign Legion, that's if they want me. I won't be around for about five years so have a great time fellows. :gi:

FYI, the "private contract" armies, I mean companies pay a great deal more these days than the traditional armies do.

No because he has enough uniforms and TA-50 to stand a wall locker inspection.

Best of luck to you, Skipper! I do have some advice though....

Skipper, keep an eye out for this guy when you join up with the Legion. He'll show you the ropes!

Yeah I forgot about that. The Legion still uses WW2 era gear? Hopefully the pay has gone up a bit, to reflect inflation you know.

Skipper, the weather at your south american colonies is not so fine and there is a lot of humidity, dirt and billions of gnats and other lovely insects. Stay here, have a good glass of Calvados and the world is looking better!

    Bon Voyage Skipper!
Keep your head down and drop us a line now and then. At least we'll be getting first hand accounts from a well respected member. I just checked out the - French Foreign Legion - Recruiting - and if I wasn't so snowed in here ( more white stuff falling now) I'd consider joining you on your venture. On second thought, I just checked out - French Foreign Legion - Recruiting again and upon reflection I feel it best to stay here and build snowmen.

Can you at least provide us with a picture of you getting fitted with your kepi? Oh, and if you run into these guys, look for a way out.

If that Legion thing doesn't work out, we have a contact in Aspen who might be able to get you on as a liftie at one of the resorts there. Who knows?

Keep in mind they are now stationed in Corsica, no more romantic desert forts mon ami. AFAIK "contractors" like Blackwater pay a lot better.
