Just thought I would mention it but today is the 150th anniversary of the start of the American Civil War. TCM all this eve is showing Westerns taking place during the Civil War. They started out with a true story of a unit of Confederate Cavalry that raided and made off with one Gen Grants herd of prized Cattle. The excellent movie is: Alverez Kelly with William Holden, Richard Widmark, Howard Caine and Harry Carey Jr. After that was an Errol Flynn CW Western, then a rarely shown one with Van Johnson, and now one with Robert Stack.
Enjoy your evening , watch the oldies on Tv and have some rootbeer and peanuts (oops that might remind you of Jimmy Carter)
Save your Confederate money !! The South will rise again !! On a day like today, as divided as we are over political issues, we say "Seven score and ten years ago, our forefathers took part in a great battle, to decide if this nation, divided by itself, would remain asunder or become one again. In that time, we have lost our way and once again find ourselves pondering if there is a need to create a new nation, dedicated to principles won by our forefathers, but lost in the clatter of a media storm that divides us over important issues that face us today." Perhaps it is time to start anew.
Heh heh, too late to drink any Rootbeer, but I sure as shooting will do so tomorrow afternoon The Peanuts are ok, so as long as The Peanut Farmer, didnt grow them ;-)) Speaking of which, i saw and bought just yesterday-Astros Baseball Team Peanuts on sale at Wally World.
