Even though it doesn't surprise me, it still shocks me. Unless Gawdzilla happens to be about 8 years old. I was very dumbfounded recently when my niece, my nephew's wife, said she knew she'd heard of WWII but wasn't sure when it was or where it happened. She is 30 something. My father is a WWII veteran, it's a big deal to us, we talk about it a lot. I am not sure how she could have missed it.
Animavore's an adult, he's also snarky. I thought it was the funniest description of WWII I've ever seen and thought I'd share.
A conversation that took place tonight in the office: Supervisor: You have heard of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, right ? Subordinate: Not really, wasn't someone killed there ?
Hilarious and yet sad, maybe someone ought to have answered something like this: And then answer is ..... WW1's kid, call him Junior. I hope there won't be a third generation or it's like one of your video games but in 3D.... More seriously , the kid should travel to the battlefields and ask those who fell and surviving Veterans for forgiveness for being so stupid.
You would think that with Battlefield 1942 or maybe CoD: World at War would be instrumental in teaching the lad what World War 2 is about. But again, I'm using logic...
Speaking of video games, I haven't played one of those since 1983. I might be interested if they came up with a game where you could organize a sea battle: The hunt for the Bismarck. The Battle of Midway The Battle of Leyte Gulf Maybe go fictitious: German Battleship Squadron Japanese Battle Squadron etc.
