You are going to have to be much more specific here. There probably isn't a single "good article" about all war, and even one about the single event of WW2 would be impossible. There are more BOOKS about both the general subject, and specific campaigns than can be enumerated, finding a single "article" of any worth would be an impossible task.

You might be able to take something from the online program from Sunday on CBS, "60 minutes". It covers one man, the only living recipient of the MoH since Vietnam, and how he feels about "war" in general and his fellow soldiers and himself specifically.
