    Maybe this will be hard. This manufacturer produced machete's dated 1943 and 1944 and some with USMC markings, however they were not WW2 issue. What is the name of the company?

    5th May 1945 a woman and five children died when inspecting a wreckage of a Japanese "intercontinental" hydrogen balloon carrying incendiary bombs.

    That's right, Juha - a Japanese 'Balloon bomb' was indeed the weapon used.

    I read about this years ago & now can't remember where... :rolleyes:

    Was it the 76mmK36, and because of its' high muzzle velocity ( 688 m/s ) ?
