This is my first post in almost a year. Between work and my feet giving me many problems, I have just not been on line much. I am going to be laid up for at least 2 months due to extensive foot surgery. Figured I would ask for anyones recommendation on any must see movies or any books to read since I am going to have plenty of time on my hands......... I have a few weeks to gather things up, so please let me know. Thanks, Bill
There are excellent thread areas on this: Movies: WWII Films & TV Books: http://www.ww2f.com/wwii-books-publications/ My personal recommendations (should be available via inter library loans) are: 1. If you are interested in the Air War: Murray Peden" "A Thousand Shall Fall." So good you will re read it back to back. http://www.ww2f.com/wwii-books-publ...en-perhaps-best-bomber-command-book-ever.html 2. BBC TV Series "Danger UXB" BBC at it's best is terrific stuff. This is the best of the best. 4.9 out of 5 Star Rated. Available on DVD or VHS. - the only thing stopping this from being a full 5 Star is never, ever show this to children. Episode one is one seriously tough emotional drain. After that, you are at least prepared for what is to come.
