It's a humorsitic description of his personality to his siter in law.

    The translation sounds as follows.

    My personality :

    sometimes wanting and satisfied.

    sometimes sad and wise.

    sometimes full of knwoledge

    sometimes one should hide.

My dear sister in law .......

from the the 1939/40 war winter

    your Paul .

It's the unknwown soldier grave in Paris and probably the first November 11th celebration under German occupation. ( 1940). The grave is under the Arc de Triomphe on the Chapms Elysées. the text is hard to decypher but its says "Grab" = grave and "unbekannter" = unknown and considering the huge amount of flowers it has to be the first time some Germans had a chance to commemorate this grave.
