Hi, Recently my Father and I have been cleaning out our garage. We had a big trash can full of crap, so we decided to go through it all and separate it for recycling, and my dad found this at the bottom of the trash. I have whipped up a quick drawing in 'paint', to show you. since I can never get good lighting to take a remotely good picture of it. Awesome! Thanks, Slip. Under more observation, me and my father noticed the the primer is not dented/damaged, likely meaning it has never been fired. Although, I do see a small dent near the edge of the back, would this mean the bullet would've been misfired?
Yeah slip, that was my first guess...then it didn't seem quite big enough or wide enough...too big for .303/7.62...so it must be a 50cal...maybe its my eyes...
Measure the neck of the cartridge i.e. the end where the bullet would go it should be really close to 1/2" which would make it a .50 Cal casing.
