    Hello I am a new member and I'm looking for an answer on my grandfathers WW2 DD214. Under Block 5 (Component) it Reads: SST. Does anyone know what SST stands for? Mark.

    I tried to find out what I could....but my internet searching isn't very good. Sorry I couldn't be of any help. Hope you find the answer..But I'll keep on looking.

    their could be about 7 different meanings to SST. go to: militaryacronyms.net look under letter 'S' under militaryacronyms and abbreviations-acronym finder

    1. training submarine
    2. systems specific threat
    3. supersonic transport
    4. single subscriber terminal
    5. safe secure transport
    6. strategic support team
    7. space support team
