Change title of thread after posting?

    Hiya. Is it possible to change the title of the thread you created after posting it? I've tried after realizing a good thread wasn't getting hits or regretted the title. Can I change after?

    Try this, Poppy. Might work, but I'm not 100% sure of the settings here.

    Hit 'Edit Post' on the first post.
    Then 'Go advanced'
    Then edit the box above the main posting one. (Post Title? Summat like that)
    Save, and it might change the thread title too.

    Sometimes takes a little while for browser to catch up, but I know I had to change the settings on WW2T to allow people to do this - like I said, not certain it's set that way here, and offering no opinion as to whether it should be.

    need moderator / admin permission for that mate, you will be able to edit the title of the 1st post (yours) in the thread, but usually you need moderator / admin permissions to edit the title of the thread itself.

    Cheers. I'll be more careful when choosing thread title's. This particular enquiry was spurred by my RCMP saving Canada thread. Thought the gun bunnies here could offer more info on the conversion from a bb gun to an actual deadly weapon...Should have put a more U.S. friendly gun opinion headline. Doubt everyone knows what the RCMP is here....Could we call it " BBguns recalled. Can be transformed into deadly weapon."? ..Thanks for your hep SD.
