Attention please and at ease Rogues. Hold onto your smokes. I just wanted to let my fellow Rogues know (the ones who are interested) that all is well (what little I am in charge of and responsible for that is) and to explain my recent absence from this great forum and the company of like-minded (sometimes) WW2 enthusiasts. And no it has nothing to do with the recent BCS debacle of Monday January 9th, a date that will live in infamy here in Tiger Town thank you very much. As some of you know I have retired this past summer, and was recalled to the colors (in an independent contractor status) in September. Yep, I went right back to work in my old job, getting paid twice to do less than I was doing before I left! Not bad. The draw back there is that in my 5 months away from the office, the computer police came in and tweaked down the sensitivity modules and no longer can I access the forums there in the wee hours. Those b@$tards! Also no personal email, smut or social networking allowed either. Just work related and limited surfing the net now. Can't even access Google Earth. I guess they don't want us zeroing in on a nudist colony or something like that. Anyway, to add to the mix I have been brought up to the board of directors with my Mardi Gras krewe, the Krewe of Orion. For those or you who do not know, that is what my avatar is, the K of O logo. My job is recruiting school marching bands and other marching and auxiliary units as well. And since we are in the home stretch of the carnival season here in Louisiana, I have been pretty busy with that. It is fun and I enjoy it so I do not see it as a hassle at all. And right now I am in the middle of remodeling my house since I paid it off with most of my retirement severance package in July. I decided to fix it up nice and stay instead of selling it "as is" and moving since paying it off. And not making a mortgage payment is far better than getting hung with another 30 year mortgage too. That really cuts into the beer fund fast. And besides, chrome for my new scooter and road trips costs a lot too.

Anyway, now y'all know what the deal is. I'll be able to check in with the forum more often since my new office nook is in place now, and when Mardi Gras comes and goes I will have more time to waste here with y'all too, so catch you later!

And here I was thinking that you had not recovered from 7 day drunk following the debacle.

Your boss upstairs ought to get that little web-filtering problem fixed for you.

Welcome back Bobby! It's great to see all this old names here again even if they pop in from time to time. Now we just need to get Carl, Sniper, etc back and it'll be a good old reunion.

Dare I ask what happened on the 9th?

Edit: Ignore the BCS part of my post, took a while for things to click in!

Yeah they filtered this place at my work also. I think you and I have discussed that before, damn them! Sux don't it.

Know what really makes me mad? Here we are, supposedly friends, fellow Loosianans, former sky gods (or Dirt Darts per Brad) and you never let me know the whole, you could zoom in on nudist camp thingy, in Google Earth! Man that is cold.:D

Mardi Gras coming up, Krewe member=access to beads=drunken females exposing their puppies upon request. Man you're one lucky dude at the moment. Enjoy.
