Hi everyone, I have found this site because I have always been interested in the second world war, having been born 10th May 1945. My uncle Sid was at Dunkirk and my uncle Idris a Japanese POW. As a snotty little kid, I used to play in the ex war jeeps and lorries in a local scrap yard. No health and safety then, and parents could leave kids wander without concern. I clearly remember so much paraphernalia, (now memorabilia) helmets, bayonets, even cameras and binoculars. I guess this is at the basis of my interest in WW2 memorabilia. I have always thought about collecting but never got around to it, until very recently when I bought a German snuff box complete with eagle and swastika insignia, in a house clearance sale, and this has re-awakened my interest in collecting. I'm really interested in all aspects of the war but particularly any German memorabilia. Really looking forward to getting into this forum Cheers all Mog
