Just had one of those 'Oh ! No...' moments with news of the passing of Larry Hagman......who as well as the almost legendary 'JR', I always think of his barnstorming part in 'The Eagle Has Landed'......

R.I.P. Larry! I did like the first Dallas for a year or two, but for some reason my favourite is " I dream of Jeannie!" ;) ;)

Another sad loss. Dallas was OK, but I always liked 'I Dream of Jeannie' better. And, of course, I'll never forget his part in 'The Eagle Has Landed' (one of my favourite popcorn action movies).

Sad to say I was rooting for the British traitor/spy to take him out!

Not a subtle or great actor, but fun to watch.

I enjoyed I Dream of Jeanie much more than the "soap" that was Dallas. Not only did I not care who shot J.R., I hoped it was fatal. He was a pretty decent and hard-working actor, from comedy to drama he seemed to give his best. BTW, did you guys know he was Mary Martin's son? The "sprite" who played Peter Pan on stage was his Mom.

According to all who worked with him, he was a generous man and willing to help others if they struggled with a part or a line. Rest in Peace Mr. Hagman, and may your family and friends be certain he was respected in his field.
