If the Denver defense can get to Newton like they did Brady, who knows. I don't exactly have a favorite. Seeing P-Mann get another ring in his last game would be great. Though I would really like to see Jared Allen get a ring. He's not the force he once was, but he's a heluva nice guy and does a lot for our military vets, especially those who are disabled. Seems there is a chance he could play in the big game.

Agreed. The Denver-Pats game was pretty good. The Carolina-Cards, not so much. I have a certain amount of optimism that it will be a good game.

    Tommy.

I wish I could be as optimistic as you. But I can't see past a Panthers win by in excess of 21 points.

I hope that I am wrong, and that it goes down to the wire.

If Denver does win, I'll be able to say that the Raiders beat the Superbowl champs this year though!

Defense wins. Denver on average gives up only 4.5 yards per play and allow only 18.33 pts... Panthers are close at 4.95 and 19.28.
But Panthers offense outscore league average by ten points. So if Denver D can't shut down Panthers O, shootout, Panthers win.

David, I have often said, "Blessed is he who expects the worst, for he shall not be disappointed." ;)

If the game is a blow out, it will be Carolina on top. I don't see Denver winning by a large margin. However, as Poppy pointed out, Denver has a very good Defense. And Manning (even the diminished version) is not Carson Palmer who had a horrible game last weekend. If its a close game, anything can happen.

Too bad some guys reporting on the superbowl have played a race card. Some bs about how Newton is being treated/viewed differently.
Tempest in a tea pot. They got nothing to talk about.
But, this guy still might have some questions about Manning's home deliveries. Not talking about pizza.
Foreheads like that don't come from Wheaties.

I agree poppy it's really quite ridiculous. I know they have to drum up some type of controversy or something to talk about for two weeks. Regardless it's too much just get to the game already. We put these athletes on pedestals and act like they're some type of hero. And they're not they're just regular guys who have an athletic prowess thats better than ours, lol.

Whoever wins, I hope this is a good game overall and not a one-sided blow out like the Cards-Panthers game was, that was horrible, Palmer threw interception after interception!

Newton played it.... and he embarrassed himself and family by wearing those 'stupid' pants and his ''loud mouth''....looks like something a girl would wear.......people like that are trying to bring attention to themselves, instead of like the good old days, people were taught not to be attention/inet seekers.......and they are loud mouths...I was taught if you can't say something nice about some1, don't say anything......the pants confirm the BS talk
people don't dress properly anymore, like the old days....I don't want to go to a restaurant, etc and see people dressed like they just came out of the gutter.....when you're in public view, you should be disciplined, not LOUD, not dressed repulsively....this is common manners
yes it looks like a Halloween outfit

This...Carolina was robbed. Buddy made the catch. Even with HD slow mo replay, they couldn't make the right call. Ball never touched ground.
Wrench in the game. Hope Panthers rebound.

    that's not a catch

Broncos were robbed on the taunting foul after Panthers failed 3rd down....what was that?? they failed on 3rd down, but got a 1st down after play was dead....!??? it looked like the Panther shoved the Bronco..!?

Mr BIG MOUTH looked very unprofessional and just like a whiny baby.....Newton had no confidence in himself early in the 1st quarter!! you could tell.....you see this in kids....they will have no confidence and play poorly......he overthrew many passes....then the post game interview....whiny baby.....you see it in a lot of championship games where experience counts.....

Bronco safety Ward confirms it and agrees...I saw and stated this during the game http://www.wsoctv.com/news/sports/football/super-bowl-preview-panthers-vs-broncos/nqHr8/
game was very sloppy...really no big offensive TDs......punt defense thinks it's a fair catch and it wasn't!!....many critical penalties....after whistle personal fouls !!

I echo. Though I like his game, his attitude sucks. After the game he did portray himself like a petulant child. You wanna be taken seriously and a champion, act like it. Be happy for what you have.
