Your first goal should be choosing a comfortable chair for your porch so you can sit on it and yell "Get off my lawn" any time the need should arise. After that, you should start building a replica Panzer Mark IV in your garage. Of course, maybe I'm just projecting my own goals onto yours... In any case, enjoy your new freedom!
GOSH, FOLKS! Thanks for all the congrats and salutes and likes. I do plan to stay active. My old boss wants me to work from home up to 20 hours a week. My old bud from the military days said he could also use me on another NASA program too. But i really don't want to work 20 hours a week. Maybe 5 to 10 hours. My immediate goals include: 1) Buying a second home in Texas 2) Moving there by Jan 14 for Tax reasons 3) Getting my family genealogy in good order 4) Return to general aviation and renew my CFI & CFII ratings; maybe finish and ATP rating too 5) More cruises with the wife to AK, and Europe. There is a solo trip to see the major battlefields and cemeteries in Europe planned, 6) Spend more time at the range with my son 7) Return to the wonderful world of exercise by hiking and geocaching Again, thanks everyone for the good wishes, likes, and congrats!
GEOCACHING ?? No kidding?! TwoEagles here - 750 finds. One in Afghanistan that I can't talked about. I could but, well you know
5-10 hours a week , that's about one morning or a day , could be done and you could probably use the extra money
So far I haven't driven my wife crazy. But this week is my clean and "oil" all guns and rifles. I may have to wait for warmer weather so I can work in the garage workbench since the "fumes" will bother her. But the best thing about retirement is to stay up late and wake up whenever!
