Name: William P. Sullivan - Screen name = W.P. Sullivan Age: Age 61 Origins: I was born in Chelsea Naval Hospital outside the Charlestown (MA) Navy Yard. My mother was a Navy nurse, my father a sergeant in USMC - fire suppression, crash rescue. Specifics: - My family history has always been steeped in WWI and WWII. (I also has a great-grand uncle lost on the USS Maine in 1898 - USMC private.) I am a historian and educator by training and by profession. I am a retired high school history teacher, administrator (retired form the USAF Academy school district in Colorado Springs). Until recently I was a Senior Fellow at Norwich University, the Military College of Vermont. I helped military "instructors" to be more effective "teachers" and edited US Army "programs of instruction" (POI's). I am currently a consultant who assists researchers and instructors, and "do consult" for speech-writers, seminar presenters and lecturers, and I assist people drafting historical articles. My most recent projects have been in military leadership studies, and Allied internees of WW II in the ETO. I occasionally present lectures on leadership and educational subjects. Hobbies: My work, my grandchildren, hunting and fishing ... and I play a baritone bugle in an alumni drum & bugle corps. Other: Too old to remain in the Army Guard, I still serve as a battalion S-3 for a cadre of retired active duty/Guard officers who continue to render consultation and support for domestic activities for the Vermont National Guard.
