Yes! If only for that JP3 would be far easier to remember then Benedict Ex Vee Ie, I'm afraid I'm not so good with those Latium naming conventions

All the Latin I remember is lumbricus terrestrias from biology. I think it means earthworm. Not really sure on that one. But yes, JP3 does have a little bazziingg to it. I think that the media would pick up on it and run with it. Nothing but good could come from it. Does Vegas have odds on the outcome of the situation yet?

Regardless, I don't have a dog in this fight. It's 33-1 for the hometown favorite, Timothy Dolan. He seems to be a great man.

For some reason, gambling over the naming of the next Pope seems, well... um... :noevil:

Put me down for a 10 spot on Turkson from Ghana. ;)

Bertone for me....He's the politician...And probably behind all this anyway. If not him then his man the Italian.

I'm waiting for the late entry Tony Blair though.

......see you in the next papal reign............maybe. That is, unless St. Malachy counted incorrectly in his predictions of the 10 more popes.....he described. Just one of many links that deal with this subject, find more if you search ....Prophecy of the Popes - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

They have a lot of "firsts" with this pope: First Jesuit, first Argentine, first South American, first non-European and first pope with only one lung.

This guy is an EEO compliance officer's dream.

Los Malvinas are not Argentinas by the way...I just thought I'd ruin a perfectly good ruined thread...Its what I do...

1066..The popes banners accompany william into battle...If they had not, Harold may have left a few family and house curls to do battle while he went into the hinterlands, formed a bigger army and wiped the Normans off the face of the earth...But the battle had to be fought and God would choose his winner...the popes banners made the difference.

Simon De Montfort probably would have rode his knights through the Bengworth bridge and left the field to escape to Kenilworth, form a bigger army...you get the picture...but Edward had the Popes support and banner raised with his captured banners from his earlier sortie to Kenilworth.Simon left the battle to God to decide...

The Spanish Armada, The pope sent his banners aboard whose ships?

    Many many more occasions...

No wonder even as a Catholic I can understand the formation of the Church of England...

Now if any small boats approach Port Stanley...flying the popes banner....Then full steam ahead and blow em out of the water...

God save Ireland by the way.
