Hey everyone! I'm about to do a presentation in history about D-Day and how it changed the war. What I want to know is whether here are any veterans I can correspond with or whether you have any knowledge on this topic that you want to share with me. The main question of my presentation will be if D-Day was a turning point in the war and if yes, why. Of course, I was already looking for material, but I guess that you can help me as well. Thanks for the responses. Die_Selina
Hello. My personal opinion is that Normandy didn't make a turning point in WW2, it only made ending faster. Russians were already won Germans in the eastern front. Majority of Axis forces were at east and (what I've read) Mr. Hitler didn't took seriously allied invasion to France. Of course if Russians were beaten, AND, if Brits with other allies were still going there it would have been very tough. Germans would have more troops there with fighting skills, now that there were not so much of them. Please beat me fellows..
