It's on. Easy to see now. The gun laws. The tax laws. Global Warming bs. We will lose our familiar way of life. Not Joe Biden or Al Gore though. ...Already poor, just not poor enough apparently. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b1AMYHHAXhI
He must have some fuel bill....He's over here so often in his little plane...Does the US population know England is his second home? Pops in and out for chats with folk on a regular basis now...But don't see many pics in papers of his meetings or fellow attendees.
One of the many reasons why I want to expatriate: the media in the states is extremely over-sensationalized. You can work people up over the craziest, most illogical things.
Thank goodness the UK does not have any tabloids !!!! LOL But the Times and the BBC make up for them. At least Rupert Murdock has been catching hell. Send him back to OZ. Gaines
As history has always moved along with or without the participation of the inhabitants..........one can try to contribute to that which is inevitably going to change and try to make things go along a desirable way based on our contitutional thoughts or one can rest back on our laurels waiting to see what happens griping about it in the aftermath of non-participation....yet even better .......exhibiting paranoic fears about the natural process of the advance of history that we may feel is excluding us in our paranoia and illness of mind. Such is and will be the human condition as it has been in the past when paranoia was rampant about the creation of the Constitution itself. Thank God our forefathers got off their laurels and exhibited some vision and leadership in the New Colonies........the Black Helicopters of the Day!
Globalisation Victor....It serves some well...You only have to see the cost of their lunch meetings and the wine menu.
Love interpreting the VG... If Joe Biden says the playing field is to be leveled, and he is BO's right hand man....NWO, if it were mentioned here 2 years ago, would have been ridiculed into oblivion.
If it took 5 cents to go around the world, Joe Biden couldn't get out of sight! He does though by use of OPM...Other People's Money.. to sell His (Obama's) idea of the New World Order (Obama the majestic Emperor of the World and Joe Biden, Court Jester Extrodinaire)
I won't comment on the rest, but the VP has been doing an excellent job filling this 'position'. To paraphrase Jay Leno, 'We comedians were sad when President Bush retired, but then we realized that Obama gave us a gift -- Joe Biden'.
Ha, someone should muzzle JB. He must have been trying to be funny in some of those...Point made though.
Wait, Global Warming is fake? Pretty sure the verdict on that is established. In other news the Earth is round. I'm no Biden supporter, but at least he's entertaining.
Here's an interesting article form 1950- "A bright rainbow hangs in the sky, descending just over the horizon. The many people of Earth march slowly toward it, leaving behind the crumbling fist of war, oppression and international borders. Nothing less than the future is over that horizon; a future that is defined by a new world order where people are able to attain true happiness and leave behind the bleak conflicts of the early 20th century. At least that’s how it was imagined by illustrator Fred Siebel and writer Vincent Sheean in the January, 1950 issue of Redbook magazine. We may not have the one world government envisioned by Vincent Sheean, but we do have a version of the one-superpower world that he predicted would emerge. His vision left open many possible avenues by which this new world order might be achieved — many that left the United States, the Soviet Union or both in ruins. But however that cold conflict came to an end it would bring the dawning of a new age. Sheean, writing in 1950: Whatever shape your world may take in the year 2000 A.D., we can all be fairly sure that it will be one world. Whether through war or through peace, the nations fifty years from now will have learned to enmesh their sovereignties into a single supreme authority. They will have learned to do so because, difficult as it may seem now, no other alternative exists. One world or none at all is the choice. If we examine the hateful and (to my mind) improbable possibility of war—atomic war between the great powers—we see that one or the other side must be destroyed. The A-bomb, the guided missile, bacteria weapons, make limited wars for limited objectives impossible between great powers. These powers are too powerful, and they have weapons, which once used, would lead into a completely unknowable future. If, however, anything survived, it is certain that one power alone (either the United States or the Soviet Union) would impose its version of world order upon the ruins. That single-power world is profoundly undesirable, because civilization will have been sacrificed to attain it. Barring war then, or a great depression, we can see that the next fifty years offer a tremendous prospect— and challenge. It is a fact that by increasing our production by only a tenth above normal expectations, the U.S. can provide enough to bring every American up to minimum living standards." http://blogs.smithsonianmag.com/paleofuture/2013/04/one-world-government-and-the-war-of-tomorrow/#ixzz2QGN2srot
Excellent Mr H. Wish I could salute button....That article was written yesterday-how timely, that bit falls into our lap and fits snugly into this thread..The Smithsonian...How cool are coincidences or is it synchronicity?..Good find....Love the H.
Would like to welcome the OMA... There are plenty of pages here regarding conversations on the GW issue. They may be hard to find now on new board, but lots of good info/conversation. The issue seems to be [with me] : Don't tax us for natural earth changes, then pocket the money.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Renewable_Energy_Certificate_%28United_States%29 .Also, I am fairly ignorant. That's important.
