Does anyone here read Japanese? I've been sorting through some photos I took in Japan about 3 years ago, and came across this one of a plaque. This was located at the ruins of a building near the Cape Shiriya lighthouse at the northern end of Honshu. In 1945, aircraft of TF58 bombed the Cape, and killed the men stationed at the lighthouse. I'm wondering if this mentions that event. I'll try to piece it together myself, but I don't think I'll have much luck.
I wasn't expecting anything, but it was worth a try. I tried to copy-paste the characters into Google translate but I soon figured out that there are over 2000 characters in the Japanese language.
I've linked this thread to a Japanese FB friend of mine with an "at-your-convenience" request (he's on a road trip to Chicago right now). If he gets back to me, I'll post the result. DaveBj
