I am helping trying to find the squadron number and any related information for a Sgt. Becht KIA
April 9th 1944 . Do not know aircraft serial number or type. Any idea on how to quickly find info.
Army said it would take almost a year to get the information.

    Thanks
    Dan

SSgt Henry C Becht ASN# 32429447 was a top turret gunner aboard B-17G serial # 42-97080 according to Missing Air Crew Report # 3800. The aircraft ditched in the North Sea 25 miles west of Warnemunde, Germany resulting in 7 MIA & 3 POW of her crew. This aircraft was assigned to the 333rd Bomber Squadron, 94th Bomber Group, Heavy. A copy of this report can be found on Fold3.com. Good luck with your search!
