Hello everyone! My name is bill and I enjoy learning about WWII events and weapons. My dad and my father in law were both in WWII. I hope to get some help in identifying what is likely a war souvenir my wife recently found in her dads things. It looks like it might be part of a weapon. It has what look like proof marks on the concave surface. There is a slight twist to the object. It is made of heavy steel. "88.3" has been hammered into the edge of what looks like a finger grip area. Your help in identifying what this is would be appreciated. I do not seem to be able to attach the two 250kb jpeg files - If they don't transmit I'll try again later
Well I've tried any number of times to attach the jpeg photos with no success. I have read the "post" help section. I could use someones help to figure out how to add the images. Early on it looked like it was adding the image using Firefox and then I would get a script error message and nothing would be attached. Now I have rebooted and tried with MS Internet Explorer and it lets me select a file to attach but when I select attach nothing happens. Totally lost on this deal?
Welcome to the forums choctawbill! After you select a file to attach are you clicking on the "add to post" button? This is to the right of the file name. Hope that helps.
Welcome to the Forum, Bill. If Buk2112's suggestion doesn't work, you can always us an image hosting site (i.e. Phototbucket, ImageShack, etc.). Then all you need to do is copy & paste the URLs.
Hi choctawbill. Welcome aboard! If you are having trouble attaching images, feel free to email then to me at the email in my signature and I'll attach them for you.
